About Me

Sian Stormont has been a well-known and much-loved fixture in the Cairns dance scene for many years.

After beginning dance lessons at the age of eight, she threw herself into dance life. By the age of fifteen, Sian had become a student teacher and had already participated in countless concerts, eisteddfods, workshops, fundraisers, parades and overseas dance troupes.

At eighteen years of age, Sian was accepted into the Brent Street Performing Arts School and relocated to Sydney. After a year of full-time study, she received her Certificate IV in Performing Arts and continued her professional career in Sydney.

Sian returned to her home turf in 2005, and has been working continually as a hip hop / jazz teacher and children's entertainer. She has watched two whole generations of local children develop into confident dancers under her guidance.

Sian bought into a children's entertainment and dance school in 2011 and not long after introduced her own Step It Up Crew name in 2013. She continues to promote fitness and fun through dance not only to students that come to her but too many primary schools around the Cairns region.

Now Miss Sian will embark on the fun challenge of teaching dance classes and being a wife and mother of two - Ziggy and Remi.
